Having been described as:
“…half stand-up, half poetry, half music…”,
Mr. Zonn appears to have a lot to live up to
and who better than yourselves to assess
whether this claim holds water - or whether
it merely acts as a sieve.

future live appearances, then go to the

for those who enjoy browsing news and
biographical information, please read on...
It was 2001 when Zonn produced his first
solo recording in over ten years. A track from
this LP - 'PHOTOCOPY OF MY MIND' - was
played on SWINDON HOSPITAL RADIO, UK.
2002 saw the re-release - with new cover
design - of 'HARD FRUIT', the seminal
second album, well-known for it's hippily
contradictory approach to the 80's.
Early in 2004, John independently presented a
'one-song' CD entitled - 'DON'T SPEAK TOO SOON'
- which was on the playlist at: KIDN, KFMU & NPR
radio stations, Colorado, USA.
Then, during his live tour of South-East
England, he went in the studio again to
create the aptly named - 'PORTFOLIO CAREER'
- which was a collection of new and old songs.
Tracks from the album have featured regularly on
RADIO GETS WILD online radio station and
in 2005 he was given a Silver Award...

OK, so Mr. Zonn then went on a long-
-earned sabbatical, which ended some time
around the start of '07, when the song
'WONDERING, WANDERING' appeared at:
Other recent successes have included the track
'MUCKY PUP' reaching #1 in the ROCK CIRCLE
website charts and the resurgence of live shows
at various places including 'Scaledown' in London,
- see the EVENTS page for more details...
John has also been a Featured Upcoming Artist
at the WIKI MUSIC GUIDE, where he was
exclusively interviewed.
And in July 2007, he released a new EP -
'LOS GALGOS' - which is available to purchase
through this website - see RECORD SHOP.
Interestingly, within days of release, it had already
been played three times at the "poshest restaurant
in Monsanto", Portugal. Since then it has also touched
the turntable at: RÁDIO CLUBE DE MONSANTO and
the hi-fi system at 'The Juggler' café, Hoxton, London.
December 2007 brought more good news in the
form of the classic tineolacide tune 'NIGHT OF THE
MOTHS' achieving 'Song of the Day' status at:
BEAT THE MIX (now defunct) online music platform.
And to 'cap' it all, John was recently
interviewed and recorded playing live for 'The
Friday Show' at Ravensbourne College of Design
& Communication at Chislehurst, in Kent...
...However, the latest story is that John has
taken part in judging and reviewing entries for
this year's 1st Annual NATIVE-E MUSIC AWARDS
(for Native American and Canadian Aboriginal
artists) that took place in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, on September the 20th 2008.
As a tribute to the international importance
of the event, John performed the song -
'DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME', by MICHAEL
BUCHER - on the same evening (but seven
hours ahead), at a venue in the UK.
This has also tied-in nicely with the harvesting
of the new Zonn EP - 'BACK IN BLIGHTY' -
which was released on the first day of the
Beijing Olympic Games - 08/08/08.
Incidentally, during the two weeks from 08/09/08,
the piece 'LAMENT FOR MA BANJO-CASE' reached #1
in the 'Spoken Word' genre charts at ezfolk.com
