Traditional, damn good Chinees Eethuis at good prices. See 'China China' in Brighton, UK for comparison. I had Duck in
Noodles Soup and enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is fine and Chinese. This is a large restaurant with staff who are
serious about their food. If you like eating intestines and things like that, eat here - but don't be afraid, they do regular stuff
too! In the middle of the 'Red-Light' area.

MAI THAI:
Is OK. They do Thai food, which tastes good, but is perhaps a little over-priced. But then you're right near the Leidseplein
night-time area, where there's bars, restaurants, night clubs - it's a 'good time' place y'know! So, this restaurant is one of
many, plying their trade to the punters. It sounds like I'm selling it short, but it's fine, if you want something to eat and aren't
looking for a heavily genuine atmos.

BARCELONA
MOKA:
Well, it was a couple of years ago (Oct 2002), but this restaurant was fairly pleasant and served good food. Large dining area, good
atmosphere, pretty busy. I love Sangria, so that was OK, because I had a half carafe of it to myself. This eatery serves decent Spanish
food such as Escalope, Paella etc., and afterwards I sampled one of the speciality local desserts - Crema de Catalunya - like Caramel
Creme/Crème Caramel. Lush. Meal for two - 25.80 Euros (then).
Ramblas, 126, Barcelona.
LOCAL BAR:
Again, it was a couple of years ago. This place is a good quality bar basically, with DJs, Cocktails and lovely Sushi (prepared by a
Japanese chef). Don't remember much about it, but it was obviously worth picking up a card and writing about.
7, Fossar de la Moreres, Near Catedral de Sainta Maria del Mar, Barcelona.
BERLIN
AL HAMRA:
Great place for coffees, situated in the Prenzlauer Berg area of the city. Especially try the Arabischer Kaffee (2 Euros),
which gives a real kick!! Alcohol is also served, as this place is a bar too - with Internet computers and in or outside
seating. You can sample big slices of delicious home-made cakes and/or the all-day food menu.
Raumerstrasse, 16, Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
CAFÉ BRAVO:
Is a vegetarian café within the grounds of an art gallery/studios complex. We had the Toronto Breakfast (Pancakes
with Maple syrup) and the Lasagne (Spinach and Ricotta) at 4 and 6.50 Euros respectively. Cappuccino is 2 Euros and San
Pellegrino, 1.50. Jolly tasty, the Lasagne comes with salad and bread is served with the meal. Check out the gallery too.
Auguststrasse, 69, Mitte, Berlin.
ASIA MAY:
Lovely Thai restaurant. Freshly cooked food and extensive menu. The Green Curry is recommended and the Spring Rolls are
tasty too. Many vegeterian needs are catered for - including Tofu. The beer must have been good, because I don't
remember much more!
Verdict: Recommended.
